On October 15, the second meeting of the Council of Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology for the 2022-2026 term was held. During the meeting, new members of the Council received their acts of appointment, and Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of Łódź University of Technology, was elected as Chairman.
The Council of Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology supports the development and functioning of the institute, as well as the implementation of the objectives of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, particularly in terms of increasing scientific and implementation efficiency. Experts are appointed as members of the Council who stand out for their knowledge, experience, and practical achievements in the scientific, economic, and local government spheres.
The following individuals received their acts of appointment to the Council:
- Hanna Zdanowska – Mayor of the City of Łódź
- Joanna Skrzydlewska – Marshal of Łódź Voivodeship
- Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, PhD, DSc Eng. – Rector of Łódź University of Technology
- Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, PhD, DSc Eng. – Rector of Poznań University of Technology
- Tomasz Sadzyński – President of the Łódź Special Economic Zone
- Izabela Witaszek – Director of the Łódź and Częstochowa Lodge of the Business Centre Club (BCC)
- Katarzyna Ławińska, PhD, DSc Eng. – Director of the Centre for Footwear Materials, Dyed Products and Foodstuffs, Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology
The following members remain on the Council:
- Prof. Katarzyna Grabowska, PhD, DSc Eng. – Dean of the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design at Łódź University of Technology
- Bartłomiej Wawrzyniak, representative of the textile industry
- Joanna Krzymianowska-Kozłowska – Head of the Production Quality Assurance Department, Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology
- Katarzyna Drużdż – Head of Strategy and the Scientific Quality Department, Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology
- Longina Madej-Kiełbik, PhD – Director of the Biomedical Engineering Centre, Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology
The Council also gave an opinion on the content of the new Organisational Regulations of Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology and decided on the functions to be performed in the Council of Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology.
