We are authorised to certify packaging materials and packages themselves. COBRO, a leader in the packaging industry, operates within our structures. Our accredited laboratories offer a wide range of testing of packaging products, including chemical, microbiological and metrological testing. We specialise in innovations for the packaging industry, offering comprehensive analyses of packaging materials and their impact on the environment. We test the resistance of packages to the following:

  • Impacts by toppling
  • Rolling
  • Compression
  • Impacts by free fall, horizontal (ramp)
  • Constant low-frequency vibrations
  • Stacking under static load
  • Compression of an empty box (Box Compression Test) 2
  • Mechanical exposures during transport and storage
  • We conduct incomplete tests (construction assessment, Edge Crush Test, Cobb1800) and full tests (incomplete tests, stacking, falls)
  • We test the content of Cr, Cd, Hg, Pb in accordance with the Act of 13.06.2013 on packages and packaging waste and EU Directive 94/62/EC
  • We test paper and paperboard intended for direct contact with food in accordance with PN-P50430.3
  • We check compliance with PN-EN 71 Safety of toys – migration of elements for paper and paperboard, category III only
  • We check biodegradability, compostability, disintegration, and ecotoxicity
  • We conduct CHNS elemental analysis
  • Microbiological purity of paper and Tetra Pak packages, i.e. determination of the number of bacteria, fungi and endospores in 1 g of product
  • Analysis of the permeability of antimicrobial components for paper and paperboard intended for contact with food
  • Tests for the certification of packages for the transport of dangerous goods with the UN mark in accordance with international regulations ADR, ADN, RID, IMDG-Code, and IATA-DGR
  • We conduct expert evaluation of the compliance of packages with Polish and international standards
  • We examine barrier properties – mechanical, optical, identification, sensorial, physical and functional
