Textile and Leather Products
Certification Department – Textil-Cert
The Textile and Leather Products Certification Department Textil-Cert is a separate organisational unit of the institute operating in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013-03 “Conformity assessment – Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services”.
Łukasiewicz-ŁIT does not receive financial support for certification activities from research projects, public funding, EU funds or other national or international sources.
The Institute holds civil liability insurance covering testing and certification services.
Scope of certification includes:
- Conformity assessment of personal protective equipment (clothing, gloves, footwear) – Regulation (EU) 2016/425,
- Certification of products and services against normative documents,
- Certification marks: Safe for Infants, Safe for Children, Human-Friendly, Certified Material for Your Furniture, UV STOP,
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification,
- OEKO-TEX® STeP certification.
Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology (ŁIT) holds Notified Body designation number 1439 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment (PPE), repealing Council Directive 89/686/EEC
The Certification Division for Textile and Leather Products Textil-Cert holds accreditation No. AC 017 from the Polish Centre of Accreditation in the scope of
- Conformity Assessment of Personal Protective Equipment (Clothing, Gloves, Footwear)
- Product Conformity Certification with Normative Documents
Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology (ŁIT) is an OEKO-TEX® member institute conducting testing and certification for OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and OEKO-TEX® STeP labels.
